Weijun Honored with NEPPA Distinguished Service Award

BELD is proud to announce that Weijun Li, Engineering & Operations Manager, has been awarded the 2025 Distinguished Service Award by the New England Public Power Association (NEPPA).

This prestigious award is presented annually to individuals who have gone above and beyond in serving their utilities, communities, and the public power network across New England. Weijun is one of only five recipients this year, recognized for his leadership in engineering, dedication to mentorship, and unwavering commitment to collaboration and service.

“Weijun is not only an exceptional engineer but also a dedicated leader and collaborator. His expertise has strengthened BELD and the wider public power community, and we couldn’t be prouder to see him receive this honor.”

Weijun has played an instrumental role in advancing our engineering capabilities, ensuring reliable service for our customers, and fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing among colleagues. Beyond BELD, he has contributed his expertise to NEPPA initiatives, supporting training, collaboration, and technical excellence across the region’s municipal utilities.

The NEPPA Distinguished Service Award shines a spotlight on individuals whose efforts extend far beyond their day-to-day responsibilities. Weijun embodies this spirit through his technical leadership, commitment to innovation, and dedication to the success of others.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Weijun on this well-deserved recognition. His contributions not only make a difference within BELD but also strengthens the broader public power community.
