The Braintree Electric Light Department is thrilled to welcome our newly elected Board of Commissioners and celebrate the continuity of leadership that keeps our community powered with reliable, affordable electricity.
After a successful town election, we’re proud to announce:
Thomas J. Reynolds has been re-elected to the Board. A familiar and trusted face, Tommy’s decades of dedication to BELD and the Town of Braintree have helped steer us through growth, innovation, and stable rates. We’re grateful he’ll continue guiding us forward—we love Tommy!
Sean Powers has won the open seat previously held on an interim basis by Dan Morrissey. We extend our deepest thanks to Dan for stepping in over the past year to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of longtime Commissioner Jim Regan. Jim served BELD with distinction for many years, and his legacy of stewardship lives on.
Sean brings fresh energy and a strong commitment to public service, and we’re excited to work alongside him as we continue our mission: keeping rates low, service reliable, and customers happy.
Together with returning Commissioner Anthony L. Agnitti, this three-member board—Tommy, Tony, and Sean—represents experience, stability, and forward-thinking leadership.
At BELD, we’re more than a utility—we’re your neighbors, invested in Braintree’s future. Whether it’s maintaining our 100% municipal broadband network, supporting local renewable initiatives, or delivering power you can count on, we’re here for you.
Welcome, Sean—and welcome back, Tommy! Here’s to bright days ahead.
